I heart Westcoast beats!

Awesome dude! I aint from the west coast but I can just sit back and listen to these WC tracks and relax. Nice work on this track, Im diggin the short horn notes. The variations throughout the track make this beat interesting from beginning to end. Keep at it!

Catchy...

You have some very nice sounding melodies and sounds in this, I think that there are just too many layers in more parts, they dont mess too well. The drum beat was good. The "trumpet thing" sounded a bit out of tune in parts. Overall, its alright. Keep at it!

keep doing it! These tracks your droppin are real shit. Your lyrics are relevant for the listener. Nice use of the sampled sample, it fit your theme perfectly. I'm digging the line about using a GBA for a light source, except... The GBA didnt have a backlight. The GBA SP was the version that introduced the backlight to the Gameboy (sorry I gotta go nerd facts on ya, lol). Keep it real dude, its working for ya!

Smooth like bourbon

You got some great laid back flow on this. Your flow has a great mood to it, it really suits the beat. But the flow could use a little more work though. The quality of the sound on the vocals isnt great. I like these linear/story type songs without hooks and what not. This track concludes perfectly with the "return to sender" line.

One question: Is the taste of whiskey really better then bud? My taste buds must be different... lol

nah bud tastes better but in this situation the user's head isn't exactly screwed on quite right and is doing wild shit. I actually did this song in about 10 mins, only 1 take, so I didn't put the normal effort and attempt at refinement in it, I agree, It's not my best or a favorite of mine but I thought I'd share it with y'all.

Great work on this track man. I like the conscience thought rhymes, this shows intelligence and awareness. You got excellent skills for writing hooks! The only part of this song that I wasn't feelin was the end with the FX'd hook, it just sounded silly. Overall; impressive dude! Keep at this!

Yeah, I dunno I just got a hair up my ass one day and decided to do something like this, concious rap is what really got me into rapping myself. and I dont know what inspired me to sing at the end, I thought it sounded decent at the time lol. Thanks for the review man.

Now that's not fair LOL. There are other songs on the page...just most of what I've posted recently...or EVER has been "I want to tear your head off and shit down your throat" type tracks haha. But appreciated all the same, I suppose "song" would really only amount to someone's taste and preference.
